E-coupons (Saving Star) at HyVee

HyVee is now (as of June 27, 2011) part of the "Saving Star Network".

In order to take advantage of this, you will need to have a UPromise Card. If you do not have one, you can pick one up at customer service.  (See college savings benefits to a UPromise Card in THIS POST).

Steps to use Saving Star:
1 - Go to Saving Star and create your account (using your UPromise card number)
2 - Select the coupons you want to add to your card
3 - Scan your card at HyVee (your coupons are NOT deducted from your purchase total, they are added to your Saving Star account).
4 - When you reach $5+, you can request a payment in the form of a bank deposit, amazon gift card, paypal...


**Double Bonus - You use both UPromise coupons (to save for college) and Saving Star coupons on your card (your purchase price at the store will NOT go down)

**From what I understand (but I could be wrong), you will be able to use paper manufacturer's coupons on top of the Saving Star coupons.

**Since this program is JUST beginning, most HyVee employees will probably not be able to answer your questions at this time. Be patient. :)
